The Boatride by shevorah

The day was like no other the winds were gusty and the dry parching solar disc shone for her she supposed as she laughed and let down her hair. The effect was great for she was feeling free and easy and she looked about the small boat
and saw some unusual sites there were people everywhere observing this new environment. A young women dressed in an orchid dress carrying a matching parasol and she was intimately kissing a Chinese man dressed in a white linen suit. The Chinese man took
out his cigarette case it was inlaid in silver and he took his square hand and touched the breast of the young girl. A sentiment quite forbidden in Holland where she was from. It was 1936 and this was her first trip alone and what a relief to escape the burdens of her life at least for this short time. The couple was embraced in this forbidden sensuality and the young womens dress clung to her slender body.
She decided to get a glass of wine and she sat still thinking about the photos she was going to take of the native people she could see the children running dirty and loud playing tag from the shoreline.
