It explains the grief of a young blind boy who suffers the stigma of the ugly world.
I SEE WITH MY HEART
I use a stick to walk,
Although I am small like a bean stalk,
I only hear voices and sounds,
But I never see their faces.

To me the world is totally dark,
Whether day or night,
Everything seems to be the same,
And well, I never understand the game.

When I walk to a place,
All I hear are whispers and murmurs,
Some of disgust and some of pity,
But I never understand their brains.

Whenever they see me,
They say I’m lame,
And when I ask mum what it means,
She always breaks down like no one ever did.

When my friends go to the field,
I’m always left like a kid,
Like a baby being pampered,
Without ever understanding.

Although I’ve never understood,
But I think I deserve to play,
To have friends beside me,
And get love from everyone.

I hope in the future I get to know everything,
So that I can help those like me,
And give them love that I merely had,
Or fun that we never had.
But what everyone should understand,
Is that I SEE WITH MY HEART.
