Jesus Christ
I watched as a man beaten

I watched as blood poured from his body

A face full of innocence yet I still continue to watch without stopping

Not a single gasp came from his body, he say there and took it all even though he didn't deserve it

This man, he claimed to be Jesus but no one believed him

I watched as a crown of thorns dug deeper into his head and the nails were driven deeper and his hands on that cross

He took it all, beating after beating after beating

What I don't get is if he really was Jesus why didn't he come off that cross? Why didn't he come down? Why didn't he have a way to prove it?

I asked him this, I said if you really are Jesus why would you

do this?

To face the pain, dying for our sins

God? Why would you do this to your son? I asked.

I looked up at Jesus and told him that he didn't have to do this, that we would believe him, that there are people out there that do believe him, that he didn't have to die and ruin his perfect life full of no sin

And you know what he did? He looked down at me and he said it's worth it
