Just a little humor
The Angry House

There was a house that lived in the valley.
It was across the way and down the alley.
The house was angry, there were people living inside,
But when it came to repairs, they just didn’t have the drive.
The floor was scuffed, the windows needed fixed,
Wallpaper was fading and the roof had a low pitch.
Children would run through, slamming the doors,
And writing on the walls and the floors.
The house felt that enough was enough
And began to get even, at first with simple stuff,
Plugging the plumbing and flickering the lights,
Rumbling and grumbling in the middle of the night.
Still the family did nothing and could not see,
That their house was unhappy and more than angry.
Finally, the house, with a big evil grin,
Caused an explosion in the basement, deep down within.
The family came running down the stairs,
To see the commotion, what was going on down there.
It locked the door, there was no escape.
The house ate the people who were a disgrace.
It gave a loud burp and turned off the lights
And that was it for the rest of the night.
