I wasn't sure if I was strong enough to put this piece on here, but its honest and its me.
ECHO
I’m walking faster than I should
My arms tugged tighter as I move.
A scream is trapped behind my lips.
I shove it back with a smile on my face.

People don’t stare as I walk on by,
The sign around my neck screams
No trespassing.

I stare straight ahead,
Try not to blink.
His voice echoes inside my brain.
I see his bruises on my skin.

But people don’t notice when I creep by,
The sign around my neck shouts
                   No trespassing.

I feel ashamed. I feel betrayed.
I said NO…STOP…THAT’S ENOUGH…
But I didn’t scream when I had the chance
Now that sound echoes inside my head.

I really wish he had listened to…
The sign around my neck that screams
                   No trespassing.
