A Short Poem
Atop gleams a jewel so precious

Her beauty beheld has no equal

Guarded forever by a magical army in red, blue and yellow,

Showered by her light and always in vigil.

Far away in pursuit and conquest in its heart,

Rides a thousand fearsome cavalry

With a pace matched by nothing ever lived

And with malice molded by the Devil Himself,

It gallops in pursuit and conquest in its heart.

Deafening bellows thunder all around,

The dust gathered around, veils it in darkness.

Streaks of light flash as swords are unsheathed,

Fracturing all of space and time,

Striking fear in those who stand in its path.

Soon, the army is swallowed by the blackness,

The light from the jewel imprisoned by shadows

And her beauty never again to be beheld.
