This is a song I wrote for the Boston Marathon
All cameras on the finish line
Runners looking for their best time
A few seconds could change one’s life
Murder happens in the blink of an eye

Two punks fit into a crowd
And they set their back-packs down
As the whole world looks on
Two Black eyes, Boston’s Marathon

And no one seems to know why
Senseless act, a coward’s life
And no one seems to know why
Senseless act, a coward’s life
Rot in hell, rot in hell

And after all the smoke clears
Look in eyes, all you see is fear
Mass confusion, bodies on the ground
How come you didn’t hang around?

Look at him in his wheelchair
No more legs and you don’t care
His life won’t be the same
And you’re all over the front page

And no one seems to know why
Senseless act, a coward’s life
And no one seems to know why
Senseless act, a coward’s life
Rot in hell, rot in hell

Police go from house to house
Trying to lure you tough guys out (or evil)
Throwing bombs all over the place
Left your brother, you’re a disgrace

How do you have so much hate?
Is the part we can’t relate
The people that you killed today
Would forgive you from their grave

And no one seems to know why
Senseless act, a coward’s life
And no one seems to know why
Senseless act, a coward’s life
Rot in hell, rot in hell
