A poem for my girlfriend who died.
Wait for me, darling, in the clearing at the end of the path
where all pain ends and the sun shines bright,
where flowers bloom and butterflies flit
and all the cares of the world are gone.

For life will not let me go; I have more work to do in this vale of tears
I will follow when I may, hurrying to rejoin you,
your smile as bright as the sun that shines, as beautiful as the butterflies that flit.
So wait for me, darling, in the clearing at the end of the path.
