A poem inspired the life of a street kid

         1.

Dawn was nigh

The tide was high

Birds a - chirp

I blow out a burp

Cocks a - crow

I refuse to grow

Tic toc goes the alarm

Smack that, don't give a damn

Then again, asks me

How dare I flee?

I say, robin's in town

Everybody's got to get down.

         2.

Designer shoes, shirts and ties,

Tell nothing but absolute lies,

Bare feet boys rolling coconut on wheels,

Taunt, "there's more to life than how it feels"!

I, and oh I yearn,

All these precious lessons to learn,

Trust me, I will reverse,

Dazzle, curse, steal and swerve,

In a bid to give you the life you deserve.

Robin's in town

Everybody's got to get down
