Poem about giving up
I close my eyes in the pouring rain,
To hide my tears, to hide my pain.
I'm falling apart inside tonight,
As I lose the will to try and fight.

This ticking clock so loud in my ears,
Cannot conceal the fright, the fears.
Salty tears run hot on my skin,
From the pain of starving, desperate to be thin.

I just can't bear this pain anymore,
No-one to live for, nothing to fight for.
Every step I take, I hate myself more,
I don't have the strength to live this chore.

I'm ending this day with eternal sleep,
Tie the rope and take the leap.
Close my eyes and hold my breath,
And wait for the peace from merciful death.
