For young Cherokee Maiden who is growing up.

Little Flower

Little flower my Cherokee maiden.
Blossoming nature has awakened.
Future rose to be of the Cherokee.
Loving all mild is this gentle child.

So pure and sweet lovingly unique.
Reddish skin is glowing from within.
She possesses much natural pride.
Natures needs to agree and abide.

A great nation almost destroyed.
White mans evil sent to employ.
Seeking freedoms in her wild life.
Wanting to become a Braves wife.

Keeping your nation culture alive.
Having children to live and survive.
The white man killed all your food.
Were subdued to treat you rude.

Like dictator's they took your land.
Drove you North to the barren lands.
Winters were cold, you were hungry.
On a reservation, everyone friendly.
