The situational indifference

In the heat of this night
Live to die another day
To extinguish this fire
Although the flame is becoming too much to contain
Demand to know the truth of the matter
A quest left incomplete
Ascertaining the facts
Vague misconceptions, and misjudgments
Bear the scar of permanence
Through all the confusion
Of cryptic melodramatics
Can't see the forest for the trees
Within hidden meanings
Give us a sign
Not a proclamation
Something we can wrap our feeble minds around
Leave behind the ill conceived notions, and the crippling second guesses
Words over produced by the influencing elements
Nothing would surprise us now
Brutal honesty, or an out right lie
Could'nt change exactly how it felt on that day
Realization hit way too close for comfort we had left within ourselves.
