12 Days of Christmas Entry (Day 10)
Galloping through the hilly brush
Upon my trusty steed
I spied a gal on a milk white mare
Riding with great speed

With flirtatious smile and eyes of green
She upset my apple cart
And raced with me across the hills
On her way to steal my heart

We came upon a forest stream
And with it a curious site
Ten Lords a leaping bank to bank
They reached impressive height

They leaped and spun and danced about
It really was a treat
To see one Lord somersault
And land upon his feet

The gal and I observed this act
For what seemed half the day
Then we climbed upon our horses
Waved and rode away

And now we’re married thirty years
I tell this tale to say
Those same Lords danced at the wedding
We held on Christmas day
