Poem inspired by personal problems
I try to be the best that I can be

True, I may have an excess of honesty

But i’d rather the truth cause injury

Than defile you with perjury

My respect prevents me from falsehood

Even when you’d prefer that I would

Lie to you, but I won’t I can’t

This is the truth and I shan’t recant
