Like a full moon on fifteenth night, beneath the hair her face shines bright...
Like a full moon on August's fifteenth night,
beneath the hair her face shines bright,
her hair is like the curtain of the night.

Oh, when she gazed at me with onyx-like eyes,
my limbs lost strength and my heart stuttered.
I tried to speak but my words stammered,
'Beautiful lady, may I have the honor of your hand?'
Yet my resolve failed me so lame.

Her twinkling laugh is like the jingles of bell,
enchantingly she smiles and I fall under her spell.
Her tiny slender waist mesmerizes me,
like a willow tree she is shaped daintily.
Rose gardens bloom on both her cheeks.
Oh, how I long to drink honey from her lips!

In a sweetest voice she sang,
'Come, my Lord, let us make merry and dance!'

Sensuous fragrance emanates from her skin,
white and fair like the purest jade are her limbs.
She stirs a fire within my wretched heart.
Oh, so deep in love I cannot bear to part!

'My love, my heart, my one and only,
how can I live without seeing you daily?
My life, my soul, my all and everything,
please give me all your love to drink.'
