What emerges is not me, it cannot be.
What emerges is not me

Perhaps a reflection

Of thought and possibility

A diligent product of reaction

Yet neither good nor true

In its complexion

What emerges is not me

It cannot be

Perhaps a construct of metal and wire

Stands tall even though the times are dire

What emerges in not anyone else either

Yet there is one thing I must ask

Although I don't mean to pry

What emerges is not me - but who am I?
