My first attempt at poetry...
I have been here before.

And know I’ll here again, when I fail to say no more…

Where the hopes seem to cash and dreams seem so brittle, that a

bit of circumstance is all that is needed to turn them into sham and shambles.

Yet it is often in this state of literal sitting duck, in the pool shame and muck…

Created by the truth of those stuck in an existence that invalidates my resistance,

When it all becomes clear that I find myself wondering: was there ever a reason to fret?

Was there ever a reason to fear?

For I find that I and I alone have allowed the world to make of me what it willed, my desires used as fuel too fuel the illusion that there is no will.

“To focus on such matters is time ill spent.” They will say,

Once have arisen once more…

But, I will know the truth

For I have been here before.

And know I’ll here again, when I fail to say no more…
