Not yet equal in the eyes of the man

It was deemed mine to give more than I had

To receive less than my share

And place myself bottom of the pile

Born with indelible labels

Unfairly judged, not by my character

But by expectation and convention

Disrespecting my own merits

In the name of innovation, I contest

It is mine to choose what I give

To receive what I am worth

And place myself accordingly

My intrinsic worth has a value

Fair trade cannot be self-centred

I give, what I feel is deserved

It is not mine to conform to one opinion.
