Furious
Is the mind
Trapped inside
A prison of time
A kingdom unwound
There is no relief
No break
Impossible is any difference
Wicked is such madness
All consuming is the sadness
Constantly this
There will be no break
No significant escape
There will only ever be
Pain
Torture
Hatred
And pseudo escapism
Linked processes
Of a corruptible conscious
Here, upon every page
This person is meant to bleed
Life and death
One and the same
In between the dash
Impossible does it seem
Sinister does it feel
Writing is the only way
Constantly this
Hundreds of ideas
Backed up by thousands more
There are not enough hours
In any long day or endless night
There will never be time
There will only ever be
What I lived to say
What will remain after that
I’ll take every bit to my grave
I’ll stand at the gates of Heaven
And never again will I question
For a second, should I be there
Standing free
Until God lets me in
If it takes forever and again
I’ll be a patience man
Constantly this
Writing, reading, expressing
Thus conceiving
Fostering ideas into living entities
Motherless children of a madman
Born into bondage like their creator
Meant to mean something much more
They will survive for a brief time
Propagation though repetition
Will of course lead to many others
Replication, thus self-awareness
So many that no one could ever
Read, identify, and understand
Holding meaning in hand
There can be nothing less
Constantly this
I’m fine with that
With who I really am
I feel this is it
Sweet purpose defined
Meaning upon the page
Meaning when there was none
Writing is above everything else
My salvation, redemption,
And thus a qualifying affliction…
