The beauty of a promising day
Sitting at dawn
Watching the Night
Wake from her slumber
Into a bright new day,
The sound of rain
Splashing like giant tears
From drowsy sad eyes.

The yawning at dawn
That ushers in
A smiling sun,
That breaks into laughter
Of cascading showers of light
That parades the beginning
Of a gladdening Day.
