Luzille sends a bounty hunter after Jacum and Asher
(Bounty Hunter walks towards door where two guards are stationed.)

“Stop! No one is to see the Tournament Master.”- Guard

“Is that right? What do we say about that?”- Bounty Hunter

(The Bounty Hunter cocks his head and seems to listen to himself. The Guards look at each other, confused.)

“Exactly our thoughts.”- Bounty Hunter

(Everything goes black. When the scene comes back, the Bounty Hunter is walking away, the two guards sprawled on the ground behind him.)

~o~

(Luzille's voice carries down the hallway)

“What do you think you were doing!? I told you to kill him!”- Luzille

(Shows Luzille in her office talking to Headbutt Grok.)

“My headbutt didn't work, miss. My headbutt always works.”- Grok

“You may leave.”- Luzille

“...uh... my money..”- Grok

“GET OUT!”- Luzille

(Grok turns and leaves, passing by the Bounty Hunter. Luzille mumbles.)

“Filthy fighter doesn't even have a brain.... waste of my time.”- Luzille

(She irritably straightens papers on the desk, her body guard blending into the wall behind her. A shadow appears in the doorway.)

“It seems you have need of assassins.”- Bounty Hunter

“Ah, it's you. Perfect timing. I hope you left the guards breathing this time.”- Luzille

(The Bounty Hunter just chuckles.)

“In fact, I do have need of you. Two of the Tournament's fighters have run away, and Sone and Mune are starting to wonder how their little argument will be resolved. You have heard about the soldiers fight in the outposts, yes?”- Luzille

“You could say that.”- Bounty Hunter

“Well, without the winners, the tournament cannot continue. I need you to find them. Jacum Rucker the Third, and an orphan girl named Asher Pendant. However...”- Luzille

(The Bounty Hunter raises his eyebrows and Luzille slyly looks up from her papers.)

“I don't want you to bring Jacum back alive.”- Luzille

“Now this is more like it.”- Bounty Hunter

“With Jacum dead, I can marry his father and be heir to their estate. People don't respect just the Tournament Master. But with Jackie's title... I'll be powerful and rich!”- Luzille

“Should we kill the girl too?”- Bounty Hunter

“Why should it matter? As long as Jacum is dead.”- Luzille

(Luzille lets out a long evil laugh.)

“Finally the one who will win this Tournament is me!”- Luzille

(Lord Rucker walks into the office. The Bounty Hunter's back is to him.)

“What's going on?”- Lord Rucker

“Hi, Jackie, nothing's going on, just talking to my friend here.”- Luzille

(Luzille bats her eyelashes.)

“The guards...”- Lord Rucker

(Lord Rucker points behind him.)

“Oh, that! Hee, hee, well, I thought it would be nice if I sent out a bounty hunter to bring back your son, and he was just showing me what he could do. Don't want Jacum to get hurt on the way back do we?”- Luzille

“Bring back Jacum? Psh, he's no son of mine, running away like that.”- Lord Rucker

“He still needs to come back to complete the Tournament...”- Luzille

“Sure, whatever.”- Lord Rucker

(Lord Rucker leaves. Luzille suddenly becomes all evil again.)

“Here's your gold. You'll get the rest when I see the job is done.”- Luzille

“It's our pleasure.”- Bounty Hunter

(The Bounty Hunter grins evilly.)

~o~

(Jacum and Asher are walking through the streets of the town.)

“So... now what?”- Asher

“Actually, my plan didn't extend to this far.”- Jacum

“Great. Be prepared to fight some more.”- Asher

“Huh? What do you mean?”- Jacum

“These streets at night are dangerous. How do you think I became such a good fighter?”- Asher

“You would come here at night to train? Why wouldn't you just have a trainer teach you?”- Jacum

“Excuse me? Not everyone can afford a trainer like you and Miss Jerkwing. Who do you think I am? The King's daughter?”- Asher

“Sorry... I didn't know...”- Jacum

“No, I'm sorry, I should have guessed you wouldn't.”- Asher

“Um, so, where are we supposed to go then? Would you know anyone around here, since you, uh, y'know.”- Jacum

“Poor little rich boy, once you leave your grand estate, you're lost. Just follow me, I know these streets like the back of my hand.”- Asher

“Little rich boy...? Hmph.”- Jacum

(Jacum and Asher walk down the road. People in rags and dirty faces stare at them.)

“This place is kind of creepy, no offense.”- Jacum

“These people are homeless, no food, no money, nothing. They trust no one.”- Asher

“They look like my hunting dogs back home, watching my every move, so if I drop a scrap, they can be first to grab it.”- Jacum

“Dogs, homeless. What's the difference? They're all the same to you rich people.”- Asher

“Hey! Not all rich people are the same.”- Jacum

(A gang starts to follow Jacum and Asher as they are talking, but incoming guards make them disperse. Jacum and Asher see the guards at the same time.)

“This way!”- Asher
