A really deep and twisting poem about being a witness to another's most final choice.

-You Are Wrong-

Mental
So sentimental
You are wrong
Never been right
Not for a second
Not even a bit
In every instance
You have failed
Yourself
As well as everyone else
Hanging from that tree
Swinging in the breeze
Subtle does it blow
Little do you sway
What a hellish load
What a terrible burden
That branch should break
But it won’t
That rope could snap
But it won’t
Instead of weak
Only tighter does it grow
Forever and a day
You’ll hang in that way
God above
Just wants you to pay
What have you done
Before this darkest of day
I have nothing of a clue
How could I ever
Because we
You and I are strangers
In the same sea
Endless
Does this all seem
At least
For a man like me
You
Not so much
You are wrong
I know it
But you do not
Unfair life has been
Burdensome and then some
But the way that you took
The method of your escape
Consequences
Righteous and true
Such a potent promise
I myself cannot break
Thou shalt not kill
Inward or outward
Oneself or any other
These hands must be clean
Pure of the deepest sins
Free of the dirtiest stains
Without fault
We must fight to live
As we make our mistakes
You are wrong
But I understand
All too well
How you came up
With such a terrible idea
Many of times
I myself have thought
And concluded
What you certainly did
But just as quick
I changed my mind…
