Something I wrote for a class long ago.
Fate, why are you so cruel?

To take away the one who I

loved the most. Separating us

on the two planes of existence.

Though I still see her face in

the world around me. In the

brown bark and green leafs

of the trees. In the water of

the lake we visted often. In the

bright stars that always shine in

the night sky. Now, looking towards

the moon the pain returns.

For it is a reminder

of the time I weeped

in the cold last December.

Her soul which was reaped.

My heart to pieces it shattered

let for the wind to scatter.

I stand upon her resting place.

No longer can I hold back my

tears. So like a baby I cry.

The darkened sky soon joins.

A ray of light falls on her grave.

A lone flower is blooming. Her

last gift to me.
