a reflection on my writing identity

My identity as a
writer is still, as they say a work in progress; however, I do have
an idea of where my weaknesses lie, as well as my strengths. Like
anything else that you do in life, you have to learn as you go and
grow with the knowledge that you gleam from various situations.

I can say for
certain that I have found my chosen path to proceed with my writing;
horror and fantasy are the way for me. I can also say for certain
that blogs are one avenue I will be pursuing, as well as different
online publications that run stories from aspiring writers.

It amazed me how
many avenues there are for writers to work with these days to get
their works out to the general public. Where before it was really
only published authors who had their works read; with the power of
the internet, it is easier to reach more people and easier to get
your work out to more avenues; allowing for a broader fan base,
possibly.

I look forward to
applying the knowledge that I received this semester into
establishing my writing platform. I also look forward to the results
of said writer's platform; of which, I hope there are many.
