Rising sands.
Me and my hourglass,
all the things that can disrupt.
Me and my hourglass,
now the sand inside is going up.
The pull of gravity
will have its way.
But all the sand inside,
simply will not obey.

So, me and my hourglass,
something like the Twilight Zone.
Me and my hourglass,
what can fool the Earth's pull is not known.
When all the sand’s on top,
it will not flow.
Therefore to tell the time,
I have to flip it you know.

So, me and my hourglass,
upside down and feeling blue.
Me and my hourglass,
laws of physics seemingly are new.
And when I go to sleep,
I shut my eyes;
yet I will not find rest,
until the time I arise.

So, me and my hourglass,
now I see the sands on high.
Me and my hourglass,
it goes up but I do not know why.
And like the sands that flow,
these verses wend.
I could continue on,
but the sand’s at an end...
