ME

Just to be me
Oh how happy I would be
Just look deep into my eyes
Do you see the tears I cry
I don't want much
Just hugs kisses and such
Happy is me being me you being you
You have your dreams I want mine too
Please don't walk away
If you want me here today
When I talk do you really hear
If I say I have dreams do you even care
Yesterday is gone we can't get it back
Today is here I don't want to be under attack
Tomorrow will come soon for me and for you
When I say I wanna be me can you say you want that too
I'm not the same as I used to be
I broke the chain not trapped in a web
It hurts worse than a sting from a bee
All because I just want to be me
