A little country song I wrote a couple of years back
Momma taught me,
how to treat a lady right
how to talk to her,
make her laugh and never cry
but momma's not here tonight
(I) Guess I'm on my own.....

(Chorus)
I'm gonna, take you out tonight
down by the river and dance in the moonlight
hold you close and tight
and know everything's alright in my life
'cause you're in my arms tonight

Papa taught me
not to be afraid to cry
protect my loved ones
with both my arms
and all my might
but papa's not here right now
Guess I'm on my own

(Repeat chorus)
I'm gonna, take you out tonight
down by the river and dance in the moonlight
hold you close and tight
and know everything's alright in my life
'cause you're in my arms tonight

Life has rocked me
Kicked me low and swung me high
Sometimes it's too much
but just when I give in I
remember all those times
when you were in my life

(Pause for a " And I wanna thank you baby. Thank you for all those times." )

So I'm gonna, take you out tonight
down by the river and dance in the moonlight
hold you close and tight
and know everything's alright in my life
'cause you're in my arms tonight (2x)
