[Psalm 118:24] "This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
[Ephesians 5:15-16] "Be very careful, then, how you live â not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity."

With each moment ticking by,

and the passing days in flight.

There's so much that we plan for,

when we clock out every night.

Anticipating all the things to come,

and chasing after our dreams.

We fix our eyes on the destination,

though forget the "in between".

There is a raging battle,

with the enemy of our souls.

He strives to make us discontent,

by keeping us on the go.

We're encouraged to long after,

that which we do not have.

Satisfaction is now something earned,

rather than accepting where we're at.

But if we want our lives used,

to reach the world around.

We must be present in the given day,

and grasp the opportunities that bound.

Because tomorrow is not promised,

each second in a gift from above.

Life is more than the next target round,

its a chance to abide and love.
