A poem for the Lighthouse Poetry Contest. A uplifting word of receiving salvation.
         Heart Light

Stars twinkle,
bolts of lightning flash-
They both can be seen with the light switched to off.
God told me I was His winner in all seasons,
truly special with many kinds of fruit.

All I did was let the warmth come in-
sunshine spilling on everything inside.
And when the rays of light went into my heart,
my chest went warm;
my eyes became wet, and I knew my Savior was here.

I laid very still,
Not one squirm.
And I waited for the kiss to touch my face.
When the warming light, so bright, faded away-
I saw the right handed imprint.
