I'm laying beside him

Trying not to cry

You probably wouldn't understand why.

I breathe slow, mouth shut

As tears roll out my eye.

Its hard to tell why.

He sleeps, so peaceful.

I crave his touch.

And yet I cry.

I turn away from his back

And curl up on my side.

Silently I cry.

I fight it.

I hold my breath.

I bite the blanket.

I shouldn't cry.

There's no reason why.

I crave his touch.

For his arms I lust.

And this is why I cry?

I have no reason,

But I have the need.

My mind takes it out on him.

I don't understand

why I cry
