Floating on the water swimming beneath the burning bridges
Floating on the water swimming beneath the burning bridges
Some people leave, and some people stay.
People drifting through my mind remind me of my stitches
They made me who I am and then they all threw me away.

Blood that once flowed through my veins now feel a lot like water
The sadness overtakes me and I know it's all in vain
When the rain falls down upon me, but makes my body hotter
I turn to liquid sorrow and it washes down the pain.

Memories like carnivals, all twisted and distorted
The clowns will make you laugh as they demean their self esteem
And honor in this day and age cannot be easily afforded
No one in life is perfect, but all of us are mean.

Floating on the water sinking beneath the burning bridges
I stare wide eyed as the flames all dance and play
People drifting through my mind remind me of my stitches
They made me who I am and then I threw them all away.
