Attempt at poetry,. I love poetry but this is kind of out of my normal style.
Green Paper Parcel

Standing at the door
All dressed in green
Sitting on the floor
With high self-esteem

Dressed up with a ribbon
And tied with a bow
Standing there all square and proud
Just ready to go

She opens the door
Her eyes fill with joy
At the green paper parcel
Filled with a toy

She goes back to bed
And climbs under the sheets
To rest her weary head
And fall back asleep

The night breaks away
The day reappears
The green paper parcel
Stands tall and clear

She opens the door
Joy on her face
The green paper parcel
Has gone from its place
