Compilation part 2
Mission District
The friction of the Muni's stop on
the tracks awakes me.
As the strips of California sun
reveal the dust
dancing in the air.

Its warmth contrasts
San Francisco's notorious chill,
upon my skin.

I have found nirvana
within the cracks of pavement,
and urban lights.

As my wrinkles grow deeper,
Mission District is where you will find
me.

Thank You

Thank you for
letting me down
yet again.

Thank you for allowing me
to build my home
on quicksand.

No really, I am genuinely
Grateful.
Grateful that that you loosened your
grip on my wrist,
while mine was clenched.

Before 18

The legal age of adulthood
and I have experienced
more than one should.

Life has unraveled itself
in my palms
in the most simple
and complicated ways.
