A bike path can be a dangerous place when you are two inches long.
I save four furry lives today.

Fuzzy brown and black bodies scooch along the bike path in the woods.
I pick them up and they cling to my fingers with their sticky little feet.
I shake them to detach them from my skin.
But once they are on me, they don’t want to leave.
I put them in the grass and people think I am weird.

Today, I am a rescuer of caterpillars.
