Having a mother in prison is no joke...
Her word of wisdom, I miss.
Her gentle hugs, even a kiss.
Her laughs and jokes, gone
nowadays angry shit I be on.
I miss my mother, she did some wrong
Never imagined her gone this long.
My only best friend, only silence is met
7-15 is a long ass bet
Where is my mom, when I need a break
Grandchilds birthdays, she can't cut the cake
Where is mom when i needed a cry
throwing shit, and hollering was how to get by
My letters I sent, met with no replies
Your letters to me, i get butterflies
Mom i miss you can't wait for you to come
I sit by the window sometimes to think and hum
I'll always sit, sit and wait
Till 7 years from now, on that date.
I miss your presence, I miss your smile.
God knows it's been awhile.
I don't know what to do, don't know what to say.
Just know i'll see you again someday.
Mom, I'm pregnant, it's a girl
She won't be here, when she comes in the world.
It's crazy how we used to bond, talk shit all the time
Now i'm typing just to get this to rhyme
It's how i pass the time away
Not thinking of you back in the day
Not thinking on how shit used to be
Not thinking when i wore my smile
Mom...it's been a long while
Mom, come home.
