Finding ones true self
I lie in bed for hours awake not to afraid to face the world
But Im afraid to face the stranger facing me in the mirror
The Demons of my past continue to haunt my dreams and thoughts
I try to push them away
But it doesn’t work
Leaving me just a shell of my former self
My skin is pale
My eyes are black
My soul is cold and empty
Just a lifeless shell
What can I do
What should I do
What am I suppose to do
The masks I wear are failing
Making me realize the stranger…
Is me
