No one can escape it.
I could hear its breath nearing. I ran, but could see nothing. Darkness in front of me, darkness behind. The bursts of heat from its body could be felt from miles. I turned to see how far I've gotten. Silence.

"What the--" I breathed heavily as I forced my self to speak. Nothing was behind me.

I looked around, but still no creature.

"Was I imagining it? No. No I-I couldn't have! I saw it! I felt it."

No walls. No windows. Yet still no air. I was outside. How can their be no oxygen? There was rustling in the bushes. I turned. I feared it might be it again, but I couldn't keep myself from walking towards it. I moved away a few leaves and saw it. It was hideous. Something no one would ever want to lay their eyes on! Something so disgusting, yet so real. Something...inevitable. It was me. It stared at me for a long time until...until it got the better of me.
