Fight
For what’s right
Eradicate
What’s wrong
Live between
All that is
To be left untouched
And all that is
To be pummeled
Be prepared
If need be
To desecrate beauty
And alleviate scrutiny
Stand up to yourself
And everything else
Kick ass and take names
Throw a square punch
At their round jaw
Hit them
Whomever they are
As hard as a brick
Make them bleed
Force them to flee
Shout as they go
Come back here
And I alone
Will beat you to death
Make sure the fear
That fills your heart
Transfers unto them
Through your heavy hands
And increasingly brutal words
We are all taught
We are all warned
Thou shalt not kill
But maiming
Dare I say is fine
God above
Will somehow forgive
That of course is
If you believe
In that sort of thing
Either way
We are all animals
Created in some image
We are all quite capable
Predators before prey
Brutality before weakness
Fisticuffs
A good ole beating
Especially one so deserving
Can change all that we know
And all that we don’t
To be human
Is to be humble
Or at least it should be
And if you meet someone
Who forgets
Or acts as if
They don’t give a shit
Well then make a fist
Heck make two
And beat them within an inch
Of their arrogant lives
Remind them they are mortal
Show them what it means
To be a guppy
In an ocean of sharks
Violence is not an answer
It’s more of a solution
It has its place in our society
Be weak or be strong
Be ready to flee or fight
Or have you ass handed to you
You have the ability to decide
Be a pacifist or an anarchist
Or every place in between
Fisticuffs…
