realising the emptiness that compromises in life leads to
A Vacuous Me

Shadows of past stream by….. tiled in frames;
Looks rugged, as each paces.
In search of moorings… each treads;
Links slacken, as each fades.


Life has taken its tolls……
fumbled at aberrations from the goals;
Compromises blooming into conventions …..
hearts deriding the souls.


Ideals and ethics …………… ditched,
finds a vacuous me;
Beleaguered and bemused ….
in a world that ignites many.
