Contest entry
"It all started with a vow,
through sickness and  in health,.
through good time and bad,
through joy and sorrow.

One year after another passed.
You were there by my side all the time.
I loved you more than I did yesterday.
And it grew and grew till today.

You were the only rose of my garden.
Breeze of the morning air.
Smell after the rain.
Center of my thought.

Now here I stand,
50 years have gone by.
And I have nothing to give to you.
Nothing I can say.

Raising two kids of our own.
Through thick and thin.
Till death do us apart - I vowed.
No, just wait for me a little longer."

Then the old man sat down,
and put a rose over the epitaph of his wife.
It was raining in the graveyard.
The drops washed away all the tears.
