a short verse about the change of seasons.
In Autumn,
the trees strumpet strut.
Gaudy bawds clad in red and gold,
drop their bright leaves with wanton abandon.
Until they naked stand.

Finally, Winter takes pity on them;
cloaks them in ermine snow,
and drapes them with ice diamonds.
