Emotional description of not having children while wanting them after 25 yrs of marriage
I look around
And see the signs

Of what others have
Will never be mine

The sounds of laughter
Or small feet underfoot

It makes my heart stop
And my throat constrict

Our prayers go unanswered
By a supposed merciful god

Our dreams are shattered
And hearts are splintered

Our line ends here
We have no children
