Musing over the misuse or overuse of the word "love."
I'd tell you I love you
But I want you to know
Just how I truly feel about you.

You're beautiful, stunning,
A dancing statue among still life
Like Venus flying amongst the stars -
A Hildebrandt starling.

Your voluptuous form,
An overwhelming presence
Even in the kingdom of the gods:
An otherworldly vision.

You touch with delicacy
Like silk to a brook;
With your arms outcast
You soar on gentle flutter.

Your eyes twinkle with intellect,
Your heart warmest out-reached
To others who but wish to
See such care.

You're the most amazing,
The most spectacular,
Definitely the best person
I've ever met.

But I won't tell you I love you.
Even though I do.

Love is overused
And I want you to know
Just how I truly feel about you.
