I wrote this because I was in pain
I'll be missing you
In the bars, in the streets, in the dales
Living in a town not far from your house
Saying too much but never the right words
(I always thought you'd have something to say, but nothing ever came out)
The numbers are all different here, so I don't know how fast I'm going anymore
You are the poison I always crave
In my bed, in my mind, in the underground station
When I'm huddled in the corner, your portrait in my hand, where did you get off?
You see, no one ever tells you this
But it's never been heroic to die for love
Just self deprecating, really
I know this because you laughed at the blood on the floor, the day I was forced to leave
Farewell my darling
Until next time you decide to want me again.
