In this place I am sure that I don't belong, another waits, one of my choice and creation.

There is an island
In the middle
Of the deepest sea
I’ve never been there
But in such a place
Within such an idea
I have come to trust
The island is unprotected
Not molested
Few know it’s there
Dare I say none
Within the profundity
On my trouble mind
I have created it
Dragged it up
From the depths
Populated it with beings
Aberrations of those
Long since lost to me
Some I can’t wait to see
Others I will further flee
On that island
In the deepest sea
There are trees
Old men of wisdom
As I like to call them
They’ve seen it all
In their trunks is knowledge
In their roots is understanding
Bound by the ground
Unlike me they have
Much time to think
They have all the answers
To the questions
That when I get there
I’ll be sure to ask them
In the foliage
Within a maze of greenness
There are fastidious creatures
Always looking for a meal
They can do nothing
But consume each other
Each one is equally more
Terrifying than any other
Self-replicating bastards
Of my darkest intentions
When I get there
When I arrive
Upon the paradise
Of my choosing
I’ll find them all
I’ll hunt them down
Eradicating the idea of them
Obliterating the tragic circumstance
That no doubt led to their creation
It won’t take me long
It won’t be difficult
In such a place
Upon such an island
Time will be mine to own
Mine to manipulate
And thoroughly control
Somewhere to go
Is all that I have
All that I currently own
It’s my greatest possession
When this life of mine is done
There will be a new dawn
Upon that remote island
In the deepest of oceans
Once there I’ll be safe
Once there I’ll be free
From myself and life
And all that it means
To have been truly alive…
