Contest Entry
If I had 15 minutes with you, I would have so much to say
I'd tell you that I love you, and be begging you to stay

I would cherish every second, of a chance to be with you
Seeing you just one more time, would be a dream come true

I wasn't ready for you to leave, even though you said goodbye
I just couldn't stop the pain or tears, no matter what I tried

Life without you has been so hard, but I think I'm doing fine
I know you're looking over us, watching me and mine

I've told them all about you, and shared memories of the past
It's all that I have left now, I keep praying that they last

You are gone but not forgotten, in my heart is where you stay
If I had 15 minutes with you, it would be a blessed day
