A poem about living with dissociative identity disorder
Eat your peas.
Clean your vomit.
Eat your peas.

Say "ma'am" and "sir." Call him Papa. Call him Dad. Don't shit yourself. Change your name.

Brush your teeth.
Do your homework.
Brush your teeth.

Get A's and B's. Be a winner. Be a change. Don't be stupid. Keep your hopes.

Clip your nails.
Close your eyelids.
Clip your nails.

Wash hair and shave. Cope with bleeding. Cope with men. You're not ugly. Pour Mom's drink.

Smoke your pipe.
Walk in fiction.
Smoke your pipe.

Find love and smile. Take a penis. Take a pill. Feel the passion. Don't run away.

Slash your skin.
Lay your head down.
Slash your skin.

Fry your eggs.
Brew your coffee.

Awaken...
