About remembrance.

Cracked concrete fizzures funnel raindrops into rivulets,

as an Autumn Dawn gleams without yesterday's regrets.

Sunbeams defy darkened skies, divide horizons with light,

peek between rusty leaves to reflect teeming dew,

draping from gossamer strings;

jewels of iridescent hue.

These few fragile necklaces sway threateningly,

to break away, drift astray on a cool sigh,

carrying mists insisting on obsurity.

Those necklaces-these memories.

Those raindrops-these tears.

This Autumn you're mine again, dear,

remembrance beats fierce, clear.

Unlike time's blinding fog,

you'll find I've never forgotten,

not now, not ever,

and not the coming years.
