Poem about breast cancer survivor, my stranger Ingrid
Pink rose divider
~Dear Ingrid~

Dear Ingrid,

I heart you not only for what you are
but for what I became when I met you,
a sister not by blood or by any compulsory law
but by the tool of mind that shape what it wills.

I have known you for a little less than few days
but my eyes always spark the beauty of life
everytime I wake up in the frosty October morning,
and when I think of you my dearest stranger.

I could never imagine that cancer can merge people
instead of keeping them apart,
and that your, paved by thorns, journey
will be pervious the same day I'm given to this world.

But, let's not talk about misery here
let's talk about beauty in afterward
and life that spring
out of human suffering.

Something about you that I truly admire
is the steadily not known hope;
hope in Supreme Being, medical science or
simply hope in your own self, I wouldn't know for sure.

At the very last end of my letter to you,
my dearest stranger, I want to thank you
for being the brightest star in the night sky,
thank you for keeping yourself alive and
for giving my story signification
in the upcoming frosty October mornings.

Sincerely,
your sister by life.

*Awarenessp*Note:Ingrid is a woman from
Las Vegas, one of my guest who I have met on board the ship in
October 16. 2012. October 16. is important to me
as it's my birthday. For Ingrid it is more than that;
October 16. 2012. was exactly 5. years since her last
cancer operation and she now is cancer free. This poem
is written with her on my mind. Every October 16th morning
I wake up remembering Ingrid in her own special way.
