"Are we all packed up and ready to go?" my husband asked.

"Yes. I just need to lock the back door."

We were off to visit family in Indiana. We had rented a car, which is always fun, and were on our way to our family reunion. We haven't been for so many years and the kids absolutely love staying in a hotel. Since we don't take many vacations this was a real treat.

It will be about five hours we'll be on the road, stopping at a rest area at least once. There is one rest area that has the most beautiful oak tree. I love it's shape and its big beautiful leaves. I stand and stare at it while I wait for everyone to use the restroom and grab snack from the vending machines.

Then we're on our way once more. In our nice rented car.
